FAQ (freqently asked questions)

Can Neil Allen Industries, Inc. help us with our ideas?

Neil Allen Industries, Inc. has a staff of design consultants with years of expertise in helping commercial clients to realize their vision. Contact Neil Allen Industries, Inc. to talk about your needs and set up a consultation.

Is stone, glass, metal or wood better for my particular needs?

Commercial applications often have particular needs such as materials for high-traffic areas, areas that have stain or abrasion resistance, humid areas, or outdoor applications. NAI can provide metal and finish recommendations for the most appropriate materials and finishes to best meet your needs. We have a vast variety of top and base materials to choose from as well as many finishes to match your design. Working in steel, stainless steel, as well as aluminum, with brushed, polished, painted and powdercoat finishes we can customize your look to your project.

How long will it take to produce my tables?

The process from your initial contact with us depends on the size of the order, the complexity of the project, and the availability of materials. Typical projects can take as little as 4-6 weeks to complete.

What types of materials do you work in?

We can supply table bases made of steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Our finishes can be wetcoat or powdercoat over any of the above materials in a large variety of colors. Glass is available in clear, frosted, and sandblasted, as well as colored or back painted. Natural stone is available for your table tops in thousands of colors.

Will you custom build for me, or must I pick from the catalog or website?

Most of our catalog items started out as someones custom order. We pride ourselves on being able to bring your vision to life. Production runs can be in the thousands, or just that one special piece you need to finish a special project. We can work from your sketch, doodle, or CAD drawing to make your project a reality.

Where are your products made?

We have a large manufacturing facility right here in the USA, in the heart of furniture manufacturing, in High Point, NC. Most of our custom pieces and small production runs are handled right here in the USA, where we can offer fast turnarounds, custom sizing, and one-offs, as your projects demand. When needed, we also have the ability to manufacture off-shore for large runs and price sensitive budgets.

Does your price include packaging?

Yes, all of our quotes include packaging suitable for the item and material. Tables are normally shipped in heavyweight, double-walled corrugated boxes, with foam wrapping and formed courrgated corners as needed. Stone is typically shipped in special wooden crates, foam-lined, and equipped with “tip and tell” and “rough handling” indicator labels.

How long will it take for shop drawings?

Shop drawings are prepared by our CAD specialists, usually in just a day or two after receipt of your purchase order and deposit check. Your rapid approval and return of signed-off drawings will greatly enhance our ability to deliver your tables on time.

Are plated finishes available as seen in your catalog and on your website?

Due to limitations of the plating process we usually can not plate any order for less than 50 pieces of one given item. Also there are limits to the size of the items that can be plated due to the sizes of our plating tanks. As an alternate we offer both brushed and polished stainless steel for chrome or nickel finishes.
